Atom AE3, 2014-2015 (Collingwood Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff of the Collingwood Blackhawks Hume Street Dental Centre Atom AE3 team on winning the OMHA Championship!  The team's journey started January 15th with win number one versus Penetanguishene.  It ended today after winning five consecutive series and fifteen straight games to win the title. 

Congratulations to the Collingwood Blackhawks Atom AE 3 team for winning the Collingwood Silver Stick tournament.  After going 2-0-1 in the round robin Collingwood defeated Dorchester 3-0 in the semi-finals to advance to the finals versus the St. Mary's Rock.  In the opening round Collingwood played St. Mary's to a 1-1 tie.  The rematch did not disappoint as after three periods of play the teams were once again tied at 1-1.  However, the Hawks prevailed as #3 Jayden Bailey found the back of the net to win the Championship. 

On behalf of the coaching staff a big thank you to each of the Atom AE 3 players for a fantastic weekend of hockey.  After four solid victories against Centre-Wellington, North London, Orillia & Peterborough the team fell just short in a very hard fought Championship game against the St. Catharines Hurricanes.  Each player can be proud of their effort, sportsmanship and success this weekend.  Congratulations!  Up next Silver Stick.
