Silver Stick Champions
The McQueen Vue Paving Blackhawks continued their undefeated season this past weekend winning the Midland Regional 'A' Silver Stick tournament.
The team placed first in their pool with a record of 2-0-1 after a 0-0 tie with Innisfil, a 3-2 win over Lindsay and a 4-2 victory over the St. Catharine's Warriors. They defeated their northern rivals, the South Muskoka Bears in the semi finals 5-3 giving them a birth in the final vs the Barrie Colts. After a hard fought battle the Blackhawks were victorious with a 5-3 win to earn the title of Silver Stick regional Champs. Collingwood now earns an invitation to the international tournament held in Port Huron Michigan Jan 23-26.
