Peewee AE, 2015-2016 (Collingwood Minor Hockey)

The Blackhawks Pee Wee “AE” are in the OMHA Finals! Well done team! Over the past several weeks, the team has been a dominate force with 4 hockey series played with each one won in three games straight! With great goal tending, a strong defense and a formidable front line, we have 77 goals for, 14 goals against in 12 games! While the team is pumped up, they know that they still need to work hard to achieve the ultimate championship. Again, a special thanks to the coaches and the continued support and enthusiasm of the parents

Congratulations Blackhawks Pee Wee "AE" team and the Coaches! What a great Silver Stick Victory and Weekend!  The team played very well against teams from Indiana, New Mexico, and across Ontario. There was no shortage of thrilling moments, blistering slap shots, and dekes that would make the Maple Leafs envious (sorry that was the too easy). After a few teasing loses, the team won the semi-final game against the Bloomington Indiana Blades with a 2 – 0 shut-out. Little did we know that Jayla Ling was a gymnastics star! What a weekend! The team played amazing. We had the opportunity to play against an old foe and some new challengers. Our first game was against Erin-Hillburgh Devils, and our Blackhawks did us proud with a 3:0 shut out. With game #2, we heard rumours about the Dorchester Dragons. They came prepared to do battle, but we held on for a 2:2 tie! For game #3, we faced a familiar team, the Elmvale Coyotes and held them off with strong 5:0 shut out!
