Silver Stick Pee Wee "AE" Champs!!!
What a weekend! The
team played amazing. We had the opportunity to play against an old foe and some
new challengers.
Our first game was against Erin-Hillburgh Devils,
and our Blackhawks did us proud with a 3:0 shut out. With game #2, we heard
rumours about the Dorchester Dragons.
They came prepared to do battle, but we held on for a 2:2 tie!
For game #3, we
faced a familiar team, the Elmvale Coyotes and
held them off with strong 5:0 shut out!
With great goal tending and two shut outs, our Pee Wee team was in first place,
taking us into game #4, against the Halton Hills Thunder.
We silenced the Thunder with
a decisive 4:1 win!
It was battle time now for the final game on Sunday morning against the Dorchester Dragons! The team... re-grouped...., strategized....,
had a restless sleep on Saturday night...., but came back
to Eddie Bush well armed. After three fast goals in the first five minutes
of play, our Blackhawks had "slayed the
Dragon"! With a very strong performance and a final 4:0
shut out, the team is on their way to Silver Stick International in
January.
