OMHA Champs - Peewee AE's
Congratulations Peewee AE's on winning the OMHA Championship. I'm very proud of the kids for gutting out an epic battle with Strathroy, winning it in Game 5 in hostile territory. The kids got out to a 2-0 after the 1st Period, and 4-0 after the 2nd Period. Early in the 3rd Period, the fire alarm was pulled and both teams played in a distracting conditions for about 5 minutes. Strathroy went on the PP and scored 2 goals quickly to make the game tight at 4-2. Then the building was evacuated for several minutes before play resumed. At 2 minutes remaining, Strathroy goalie pulled, Reid MacLeod made 2 unreal saves to keep Strathroy from netting a 3rd goal. We kept the puck deep until time elapsed!!
