Spring Update – 2026/2027 Season Information

As another great hockey season comes to a close soon, the Collingwood Minor Hockey Association would like to thank our players, families, coaches, volunteers, and sponsors for their incredible support throughout the year. 

As we begin planning for the 2026/2027 season, please review the important updates, dates, and opportunities below.

📝 Rep Tryout Registration

Registration for 2026/2027 Rep Tryouts will open on April 1st, 2026.

Tryout Fee:
The Rep tryout fee is $130 per player and must be paid at the time of registration.

Tryout Schedule

AA Teams

• U10 – U13: Starting April 25

• U14 – U18: Starting April 27

B Teams

• May 11–17

• Players will participate in three evaluation sessions

U9 MD tryouts will take place in the fall, with details shared closer to the start of the season.

🎉 Year-End Banquet – Volunteers Needed

CMHA is excited to celebrate the season at our Year-End Banquet on Friday, May 8, 2026.

A NEW banquet committee is forming to help plan and organize this event and make it a night to remember for our players, families, coaches, and volunteers.

Volunteers are needed to assist with:

• Event planning

• Decorations

• Logistics and coordination

• Player recognition and awards

🏆 Tournament Support Needed

CMHA is preparing for next season’s tournaments and is looking for individuals interested in helping support these events.

Next season will mark CMHA’s first AA Category Huronia Tournament, and we want to ensure it is run professionally and becomes an event the association can be proud of for years to come.  

In addition, we are also looking for volunteers to assist with:

• B Category Tournament

• U9 Jamboree

These tournaments are an important part of our season and provide a great experience for players, families, and visiting teams. Having strong support will help ensure these events run smoothly and reflect the great hockey community we have in Collingwood.

CMHA is currently seeking a long-term corporate sponsor for the U8 / U9 Division.

For many years Tim Hortons proudly supported this division, however their sponsorship program has ended. This presents a great opportunity for a local business to support youth hockey in our community.

Once rep teams are finalized, scheduled fitting days will be arranged.
