Clarification to B teams
There has been a number or questions regarding B teams offered by CMHA this coming season. For clarity, the following:
U18B team (last years U16BB team now into double cohort)
U15B team (same cohort as last year)
U13B team - applied for but not approved at this time
U11B team - applied for but not approved at this time
To be clear, we have asked for these teams to be added but has not been approved by OHF/OMHA at this time. This is in part due to the player movement / open borders guidelines which were released earlier in year. Due to this, adding teams to association batch registry beyond existing was not permitted. This obviously in effort to combat stacking by centres.
CMHA still recognizes that we have the registration numbers to support these B teams. We have the available skill level and also the desire to play in Collingwood. We have also secured additional ice time to make this a possiblity. Please stay patient as we will continue to follow up on this matter.
