U9 Jr. Blues LL2 took home the Coyote Cup
The Collingwood U9 Jr. Blues LL2 took home the Coyote Cup on Saturday, Jan 25, and it was nothing short of a wild ride! After stomping the Penetang Flames 12-1, they faced the powerhouse Georgian Shores Lightning. Down 3-0 after the first, the Blues came roaring back to grab a 4-3 lead. The Lightning fought back to make it 6-4, but then Captain River Sheldrake went full beast mode, netting a natural hat trick in the final 2 minutes to seal a 7-6 comeback win! In the Finals, the Blues took on the pesky Howick squad, who fought back from 2-0 and 4-2 deficits. But in the 3rd, the Blues cranked it up, finishing with an 8-5 win, thanks to some clutch saves from Player-of-the-Game goalie Boden Moffatt. Huge props to the U9 Blues for their gritty, gutsy Cup win! Great pic!
