On this Remembrance Day, we come together as a community to reflect, honour,
and give thanks to the brave men and women who served and continue to serve our
country. Their sacrifice, courage, and dedication have shaped the freedoms we
enjoy today, and for that, we are forever grateful.
As families of the Collingwood Minor Hockey Association, we are reminded
that the values of teamwork, respect, and resilience extend far beyond the
rink. The lessons we learn through sport—of perseverance, unity, and striving
for a greater good—echo the same principles that our veterans embodied in
service to our country.
Today, we also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Collingwood Legion,
whose tireless efforts ensure that we never forget the sacrifices made by so
many. The Legion plays a vital role in our community, not only in preserving
our history but also in supporting veterans and their families. Their ongoing
commitment to remembrance and service reflects the very spirit of what this day
represents.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the importance of freedom, peace, and the
sacrifices that make them possible. As we stand united today, we honor not only
our veterans but also the role the Collingwood Legion plays in keeping their
legacy alive for future generations.
To all veterans, and their families, we offer our deepest gratitude. You are
in our hearts and minds, today and always.
With respect and remembrance,
The Collingwood Minor Hockey Association
