Collingwood as "A" centre Hockey
Attention Collingwood families,
Recently, there has been some speculation on how minor hockey will transition over the next years, beit as a B or A centre. I personally apologize for this gap in communication over the last week. I am striving to keep the membership informed with accurate information as I actively obtain it. Further, the CMHA board of directors and re-category committee is working hard to make the best recommendations for development and competition of minor hockey at ALL levels.
Over the next few weeks, the CMHA board will be continuing to meet and establish a complete information package to present to membership. We will be addressing important topics such as registration, travel, major-minor, player safety, player development, competitiveness, tryouts, nrp's, league levels, etc.
You will also be seeing a Q&A page set up on our website that will help to give concise information about "A" category hockey and hopefully ease any concerns you may have. Further, an Association information session is set for April 6th at 7pm at Central Park for membership to attend. As Collingwood minor hockey has a proven record for developing kids, I encourage all members with positive insight on how to continue to improve youth hockey.
Thank you for your ongoing patience,
Dave Epp
President, CMHA
