Collingwood Minor Hockey rebranding to the BLUES

To: Collingwood Minor Hockey membership
I am proud to announce the transition from Collingwood Blackhawks to the Collingwood Blues (jr)!!
Last year, in consultation with the Town of Collingwood, the Board decided to rebrand away from the Blackhawks name and logo. This was initiated following a human rights directive from the Province of Ontario.
With the ongoing pandemic and uncertainty with membership and whether a season would exist, the Board decided to delay the rebrand till 2021 season. Well now we are fully underway in this transition.
Currently our Rebranding Committee is sourcing out quotes for new jerseys from several companies and our Webmaster is designing an updated website to reflect the new name and logo.
I'm excited to tell you that we have some cool and creative ideas for the new rebrand to the Blues, including but not limited to the jerseys and apparel, sponsorship, and website.
As the team sporting world begins to open up again, the CMHA focus will be on getting as many kids as possible back on the ice for both development and return to competition.
