Attention Novice (U9) and Chips (U7) Families !!
Hi U7 and U9 Families!! I am responding to concerns with regards to the younger families and try to keep you as informed as possible... Every family situation is different and the pandemic guidelines affect every family in a different way. I want to try to outline some practices within our framework to encourage you towards a positive season for your child.
The CMHA draft framework is still awaiting approval but as it relates to younger families within the U7 and U9 cohorts, I will try to assure you we are striving for the best outcome.
Our draft document includes framework to allow Parents of younger children to enter the facility to assist with gear (ie. skate laces, etc.). We are hoping to allow for 1 Parent per 1 Child on ice to remain in the facility exercising Health Unit guidelines (ie distancing or masking) to observe their child.
This wouldn't just apply to younger children though. We hope to have 1 Parent remain in facility to spectate any age child should they wish. After all, we still need to focus on enjoying our child's childhood !!
So please stay patient as the CMHA is awaiting approval of their RTH framework and will post it to all of you once it is approved!
Best, Dave Epp
