Peewee BB Battle to the Finals in NobleKing Challenge Cup
The Mike Jackson Peewee BB Blackhawks battled it out over the weekend in the NobleKing Challenge Cup!

Their hard play and focus rewarded them with a top A Pool finish, being the only team in the tournament to go undefeated in the preliminary round; winning against Stratford 4-3; North Toronto 3-0; NobleKing 5-4 and Sudbury 6-2. They went on to play Markham in the semi final. A well matched game indeed, ending in a tie after regulation, still a tie after a five minute 4 on 4 overtime, but a victory of 2-1 after a three deep shoot out. The final game was held on Sunday afternoon against Grimsby and once again a hard battle of two well matched teams. Regulation time ended with a 2-2 tie, overtime ended in a 2-2 tie which took us back to a shootout, ending in a silver medal finish for the team. A fantastic weekend of hockey and a great warm up for the upcoming OMHA play offs!

The picture attached shows the dedication of this fine group of boys, staying after their very early morning semi to take a look and get a handle on the two teams in the second semi, knowing they would be facing one of them in the finals. Very proud of these kids!
