Minor Midget OMHA Champs
It had been 43 years since a Collingwood Minor Midget team won an OMHA title.  In fact, current OMHA president, Rob Ring was a player on that team.  So it was only fitting that he was on hand Friday night to present Championship medals to this seasons Minor Midget edition.

The Wally's Wheels BB Blackhawks defeated CYO Oshawa, Durham Crusaders 5-1 in game 4 of the series to clinch the title and capture the John Archibald trophy

The series started 2 weeks ago with Collingwood losing game 1, 1-0, but that would be the teams only loss.  The Blackhawks would go onto win game 2, 5-2, game 3, 5-0 and setting the stage for a home celebration in game 4.  Although it was a high paced and very intense series the hockey remained clean, with few penalties.  Both teams showed true sportsmanship even after the final buzzer.  The team would like to thank our sponsor, Wally's Wheels and all our fans for their continued support all season.

On the road to the title Collingwood played teams from Lincoln, Ingersol and Huntsville.

Members of the team include: Marcus Sorrentino, Tyler Atkinson, Ryan Havens, Ian Macdonald, Morgan Lewis, Jason Underhill, Ethan Petsanis, Tanner Wright, Dylan Rennie, Kyle Johnson, Ethan Parent, Joe Sammon, Matt Clouston, Chris Langlois, Johnny Ruppert, Jarryd Ling, Matt Pokaj, Justin Mills and Reece Barrett.  Staff members are: Adam Parent, Peter Atkinson, Danny Petsanis, Jack Johnson and Steve Lewis
