PERFECT start to the season
The McQueen Vue Paving Peewee A Blackhawks played in the JR Attack early bird tournament in Owen Sound this past weekend, and came home with a perfect 6 and 0 record and the tournament championship.
The team claimed wins over Owen Sound (6-2), St Catharines (5-3) and Barrie (4-1) in round robin play, Ennismore (6-0) in the quarter finals, St Catharines (2-0) in the semis and the New Hamburg Huskies (3-2), in the final. Daniel Botelho and Charlie Lisi both recorded their first shutouts of the season. The players should all be very proud of they way they played.
The team now prepares for the start of their regular season, as they will host the Huntsville Otters at the Eddie Bush this coming Saturday at 1pm.
